This is an online, interactive course that contains instructions, multimedia, and assessments where students can learn at their own pace. As an instructor, you can create and edit instances of this course, assign them to students, and view student progress.
Students apply I-V characteristics of diodes and transistors to common applications such as rectifiers and amplifiers and learn how I-V characteristics impact an applied circuit.
After completing this lab, students will be able to:
Explain the theory and design of rectifier circuits
Relate the application of specific diodes to design requirements
Explain the role of transistors in amplifier circuits
Apply theoretical knowledge about transistors to a simple application
Select component values to achieve desired amplifier performance
Identify causes of undesirable behavior in semiconductor circuits
